The Willy (Not Nelson) Pavilion is the park’s covered multipurpose hub. What’s the best time of year to visit Lightning Ridge?

Autumn and winter are the sweet spot, cool enough to fossick all day and cold enough to justify a long soak in the Bore Baths at night. The stars out here will genuinely stop you in your tracks. Spring brings wildflowers and a few local events worth timing your trip around.
